Lambert Longhorns Win Two

The Lambert Longhorns Boys Basketball program has established itself as the premier boys programs in Forsyth County in recent years and this season looks to be no different.  The Longhorns have started off this season hot and continued their success over the Thanksgiving Break with two wins at major exposure events.  The Longhorns opened up their break by defeating Hardaway at the Columbus Classic Shootout 71-40.  Navy Signee Connor Mannion led the way with 20 points and 16 Rebounds.

The Longhorns did not get much rest after Thanksgiving Day as they were back in the building again Saturday to play a very tough Langston Hughes team in the On The Radar Hoops Thanksgiving Showcase.  The Longhorns came from being down 40-32 at halftime to win 72-65.   Connor Mannion, led all scorers with 19 points. Ross Morkem (15points), Matt Ganote (14points) and Austin Deckard (10points) aided in the win with double digit points.

Dukes Big 2nd Half Lifts Rams over East Jackson

Grayson High School Boys Program has started off this season on fire to the tune of 3-0 and left it all on the floor Saturday in their come from behind victory over East Jackson in the On The Radar Hoops Thanksgiving Showcase.  The Rams fell behind early and took a 32-21 deficit into the half.  Coach Geoffrey Pierce rallied the troops at halftime and senior guard Austin Dukes led the 2nd half charge with all 20 of his points coming in the second half helping his team come from behind to win 72-68.  Senior Guard Alphonso Willis had 24 points while Senior Forward Hafeez Anifowoshe finished with 12points and 9rebounds.

Broncos Win at South Cobb

In the early matchup the Lady Broncos defeated South Cobb 45-26.  The Lady Broncos were led by Junior N’dea Jones who finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 5 steals. Jones didn’t do it all on her own as she was aided in the victory by Kierra Adams 9points/9rebounds, and Nkemji Okonkwo 7points/13rebounds/4steals.
Highlights of N’Dea Jones vs South Cobb

In the Boys match up, Head Coach Daniel Bowles, was able to get a victory versus his old team when the Boys defeated South Cobb 78-59.  The Broncos were led by Bubba Parham (24points), Trae Higginbotham (14points), Micah Kinsey (12points) and Amari Kelly (11points).
